Just putting this here in case anyone is searching in future for reviews. Kit Keeper is a student storage company so this may be relevant for some of you, especially any international students coming to the UK to study.
We had a terrible experience with this company. First the collection of DD's stuff had to be delayed by a day as they sent the wrong vehicle - thankfully we had flex in our timetable so this wasn't a major problem. However, the delivery went very wrong. DD was arriving back in the UK on an early evening flight and was told the same day that her stuff would not be arriving and Kit Keeper didn't know when it would be delivered. As a result we had to book a hotel for that night as all her bedding etc was in the storage boxes. It took a few days for the first boxes to arrive so DD had to buy some basics to allow her to move into her student accommodation.
Over the next 2 weeks she struggled to get any concrete answers from Kit Keeper - it is now clear that they outsource everything to third parties. They kept blaming their sub contractors and didn't know themselves what was going on. In the end, 3 out of the 7 boxes were destroyed by water (we still don't know what happened) and were delivered 2 weeks late with everything still soaking wet, in plastic bags and mouldy. All electrical items were completely destroyed and a lot of fabric items like her duvet also needed to be thrown out due to mould and staining. Some items were never delivered and DD received some items belonging to other students.
Kit Keeper is applying liability caps and is refusing to reimburse for all the damage they caused. Overall, a very poor experience with a company that is cashing in on students and seems to be completely out of its depth when things go wrong.
