I am putting together a long term career plan and having worked in sec / admin and recep work have decided that altho I have landed a pt recep role as a sort of sideways backwards step i would like to have a long term career and earn very reasonable money and have decided to take my skills in the legal sec / PA direction.

Will it actually give me an edge to have the Pitman Legal Sec / |Executive PA diploma.

I work in HR and I believe that it will give you an edge. Experience counts for a lot and you may wish to consider temping as a junior legal sec rather than on reception. The qualification will show that you are dedicated to the industry and have a solid base to work from. Many employers look for specific qualifications, which may get you the interview, but when interviewed it will be your experience that gets you the job. Good luck
