Nightmare student finance.......

Has anyone else had issues with student finance?

DD submitted her documentation and it says all green ticks. I submitted mine and it's all green ticks (mines says all checked and accepted)

We contacted them today as it's been on application processing since 15th August. They said they need evidence of my divorce. They've never even asked for it! I then get an email with my SLC reference with a proof of residence for for me to complete asking about when my academic year starts and to send proof if I life with my parents?

I phoned and the guy said he had no idea what was happening and she needs to wait another 20 days

We've no idea what to do! All students in wales get the same amount it just depends on parents income as to how much is grant and how much is loan.

They've said on 20th she will be paid in 16th, now they're checking her ni number and asking her for proof of divorce 🤦🏻‍♀️

How did you manage to speak to them? The phone just loops you back to the web site where there is no Chat facility. DD's application seems to be stuck.

Back in the day you used to be able to press/hold 0 and it would put you through to a human (the security check would never work for me, I became quite the regular). No idea if it still works!
