My dc has applied for and got a place on a postgraduate course which starts on 28/8
They did their sfe application on the first date they could (30/6)
University admissions gave them an incorrect course code so sfe have not approved the loan (they have had undergrad loans for the past 3 years no issue at all...)
They've spent 3 hours today on the phone to the university and sfe.
I have to say, neither place seem to have staff who know what they are doing!
If anyone here works in postgraduate admissions, can you help? 🙏
Dc is now super stressed as sfe quoting 24 working days for updated application to even be looked at ???
This is the day before the course starts!
I've explained that this must happen a lot and that they will be able to start the course, but we are being told different things by sfe and the university
They have updated their application with the - hopefully! - course correct code, but they can't send a message on their sfe portal, which uni admissions seem to think they can?
It's been an awful day with lots of frustration, and I'm worn out :(
