Men B Vaccination

DD is going to university in September and a friend has suggested that she has the Men B vaccination before she goes. Anyone else's going person had this? She's up to date with all her childhood vaccs but I believe this isn't included in this. She has type 1 diabetes so I want to protect her as much as possible (as we all do). Any advice welcome.

My DS is off to uni in September and had his first dose two weeks ago. Second one booked in for 2 weeks time. £120 a dose at Boots.

Did this for DD last summer via Superdrug. Have to plan well as each dose is about a month apart and availability isn’t great over summer.

Someone I knew at Uni got very very unwell with it and it still haunts me. Public health got involved and prevented a wider outbreak, just the tablets we had to take having been in close proximity made you feel a bit queasy as well as turned your wee bright Orange!

Thank you, I've booked her first one in for next week. Expensive, but I'm worried enough about her going away as it is, without this additional worry.

My DD has MS and she'll be getting it. The drugs she's in make her immunosuppressed. Also another Covid jab (she's had five already), and flu jab. She also had a pneumococcal vaccination.
