Help! Dd has not decided between two unis yet, she has offers from both. I'm worried that if we don't book accommodation we will lose out but she wants to go back to the applicant days before choosing.
Any advice? Also is there anything else we should be doing?? College seem a bit useless
The unis are Kent and UEA
We are knew to this as fist child at uni and we never went

Do either guarantee accommodation for all first years even via Clearing, or give priority to those who firm them? There should be information on website and at offer holder days but most unis do not open applications until Easter or later and confirm after results day. Once she has decided she can apply.

People keep asking this on repeat on the Facebook group WIWIKAU and it's driving me slightly mad. They are all different. Look at the accommodation pages of your chosen institutions' websites and find out their accommodation allocations policies and the key dates. Then you will know for sure!

The only one that my DD has applied to that is open for booking now, first come first served basis, is Nottingham Trent. They seem to have plenty of halls but the best / nearest / mid-prices had mostly gone before she even got her offer. Their clumsy attempt to force her hand into firming them quickly is rather putting her off full stop.

Just look at their web pages!
