Hello, a French student I am advising has an offer from Durham and is taking ages ranking his colleges.
Is there any advantage to getting your college wish-list in early? I mean, when exactly are the decisions on the colleges made, under the new system?
I believe it used to be your conditional offer came with the college already assigned.
Now, since you are asked for your college wish-list only once you have received an offer, college decisions might be made on a first-come-first-served basis as soon as you send in your rankings, or may be delayed until offers have become unconditional, which would seem more efficient for the university.
If anyone can enlighten me, thanks!
