Student loans

I know student loans open next month. My question is if you haven't received all offers yet and don't know where you are going does that matter, or do you wait until you have firmed somewhere? Part of this is not knowing if staying at home, going outside London, or inside London but not at home, so amounts would be different. Or do you just say you want the maximum and they wait til you have confirmed which uni and living situation you choose? If staying at home (unlikely but who knows) they would not need a maintenance loan at all - so if that was the final decision do you just turn it down as it would be applied for in case going away?

Yes you can apply before firmed and know where you will be living. You just need to update details when you do know.

You just apply when it opens, and can change details later!

If you (or anyone else reading this thread!) earns over the threshold and can only claim minimum loan, there's a box to tick which then saves you filling out extra paperwork.

I wish @PhotoDad! Sadly no where near that threshold...
