I’m a microbiologist in pharmaceuticals @SnowFairy2000, I love my job and there’s plenty of work in that area. Hospitals, food and medicines, medical devices etc

Did the open day tours with DS two years ago. For those grades Sheffield stood out. Friendly, lots of staff to talk with students, keen to show off research facilities, top rated student union, department next to a park. DS made it his insurance and has friends there studying other subjects who are very happy.
For biomedical York has a fab reputation. DS didn't like the feel of it though and the open day was underwhelming.
DS is currently year 2 biology elsewhere with no idea of post graduation plans. He went with the subject he most enjoyed at A level.

DD was very impressed with the set up for the biosciences degrees at Warwick. Their standard offer is AAB if A levels include biology plus another science. It is really flexible in allowing a placement year, a year of study abroad, or extending to take an MBio.
