Is Grammarly worth it?

I am a third year BSc student and I use the free version on all my academic work. is the paid version worth it? I just feel I am a bit older and less clever than I used to be and my essays just don't read at level 6 like I want them to.

Thanks in advance for any replies

Yes it is! My DS has used it since Y13 (now in his second year reading an essay subject at Cambridge). It has improved his writing no end coz he used to use 20 words when 5 would do! He runs every essay through it before he submits.

Thank you! I think I’ll bite the bullet this year then. I have my dissertation after all!

I use the paid version for work and it's really helped me, I don't even rely on it anymore as such but it made me realise where I was making repeated errors.

I think it is yes. Gets rid of those niggly mistakes that no amount of my piss poor proof reading picks up

Yes, it is.

Yes it is worth it. My DS has reaped the benefits - his sentences were too long; he waffled. One year of paid for Grammarly has improved his writing so much.

Thank you. I am currently writing an assignment so may bite the bullet and upgrade.
