...and I'm just DONE.

This MA has taken it right out of me. I am bored silly of my topic now and still have to write up the data analysis (4000 words).

I want my life back, I can't bear the thought of doing my references, the proof reading, I have never been so close to saying 'fuck it' and giving up! The next week feels impossibly hard.

Aw have the night off! Start afresh from tomorrow. Make sure you take lots of breaks, be kind to yourself. You are so close! You can do it 💐

AliTheMinx · 12/08/2023 07:40

Well done. That's awesome! I'm in the middle of a PGCert, and have also just almost finished a big piece of work. I've been working like a dog on it and have been so miserable. It has zapped all my energy. I was up until 1am completing it - and the blimmin' referencing - last night. Just one more push today on proofreading and formatting, and I plan to submit today. Then I am going to reward myself with a long nap and maybe a takeaway tonight!

You can do it, OP. One final push and think of the satisfaction you'll feel once it's finally done. Rooting for you!

Lovegood · 12/08/2023 11:23

Thank you both!

And @AliTheMinx you've got this! Think how amazing you'll feel once it's handed in.

All the best, I was a mix at times with my assignments sometimes I planned and wrote ahead, other times it was a mix of bits and pieces then trying to put it all together.

pistachioicecream · 12/08/2023 11:41

Keep going. Sounds like you're so nearly there.

I have a hand in next week for a big piece of work for my MBA, so am stuck at my desk all weekend again (must get off Mumsnet!). So sending solidarity from the trenches as it were...... you can do it!

Lovegood · 12/08/2023 12:19

Yes @pistachioicecream we both need to get off mumsnet, I'll do it if you do!

Good luck! I've just handed in mine after 3 weeks of Hell.

Scribbr is quite good for helping with refs by the way. I put them in as I go along.

pistachioicecream · 12/08/2023 22:04

Hope you had a productive day @Lovegood. I made some headway but am battling the hideous summer cold/flu thing going round here which is not helping. Back at it tomorrow.

Lovegood · 13/08/2023 19:11

Well done, @poohsticks13 you must be so relieved!

Hope you are feeling better today @pistachioicecream and were able to do some. We had unavoidable family things today so I am only now home and getting going!

Just seen this!
Thank you!
I hope you got yours finished?

Lovegood · 09/09/2023 22:15

I did. And I got a 75. Really happy I pushed through!

How about you?

Lovegood · 09/09/2023 22:15

Sorry meant to tag @pistachioicecream

poohsticks13 · 09/09/2023 22:17

Oh wow! Bloody well done!
I won't find out until November but I won't be getting 75! Grin

pistachioicecream · 09/09/2023 22:59

That’s brilliant @Lovegood. Well done!! I bet you feel such a sense of relief and achievement. It’s a massive accomplishment 👏

I met my deadline for the assignment which was good, but then had a live assessment linked to it yesterday and not sure that went so well. Definitely fluffed a few answers and you have to pass everything to pass. So preparing myself for having to retake. Which is a bit rubbish as that will delay me starting the dissertation, which is meant to be the final part of it all. Fingers crossed.

Lovegood · 10/09/2023 18:54

Thank you @poohsticks13 and I hope you get better than expected!

@pistachioicecream I hope you don't have to retake. But if you do, remember it's not a race to finish, you can do it on your own time.
