Hi. My son is thinking of applying to Imperial College London. Has anyone had a child go there? I'm just wondering what accommodation costs are and where accommodation is after the first year?

My DS has just finished a 4 year undergraduate degree there.

The various accommodation costs are on the website here : www.imperial.ac.uk/students/accommodation/prospective/ug/fees/

After the first year students live in Hammersmith, Fulham, Shepherds Bush etc. generally sharing houses. The higher the number of sharers then on average the cost will be lower. My DS kept costs (relatively) low by taking the smallest room.

There are also generous Imperial Bursaries available for all years of the undergraduate degree if household income is less than £60K www.imperial.ac.uk/study/fees-and-funding/undergraduate/bursaries-grants-scholarships/imperial-bursary/
