Has anyone got a DD or DS running the marathon tomorrow?

DD used to be the most unfit child at school, but found a love of running at university. This will be her first marathon.

London is by far the best marathon I ever ran - the crowds from mile 1-26 are so enthusiastic and keep you going

Thank you all. It is amazing how university changes you. It all started with her first Parkrun 18 months ago and then joining the swimming club. This has led to triathlons, half marathons, the 3 peaks challenge and now a marathon all in the last 10 months.

DD never got into, or tried out for, any sports team at school and was not musical or arty. Her skills lie in her debating skills and running charity events. She would rather have led a whole school assembly than go to a sports practice. Now she is super fit and looking for her next challenge!

Odd that school sport didn’t enthuse her. Good effort to take it up and do well though.

I think this is just wonderful - she is a daughter to be very proud of !!
