Applying for student loans. What's counted?

DC applying for loan this year. Does the presence of other DC still requiring financing affect the amount they will get?

Crazy isn't it - costs way more than that to have siblings still dependant on you and living at home

The whole system is crazy in so many ways, especially for divorced families.

(If they all decide to go to university) we will have four to finance at once. DH said that when he was young this meant massive discounts for subsequent children but it seems not these days.

Have been putting my head in the sand about this. Need to pull it out and start working harder asap!
