My Y12 DS is seriously considering applying for Natural Sciences next year. His school is suggesting Oxbridge and he may give it a shot but he doesn't want to get hung up on one destination. Does anyone have any experience of the NatSci course at Durham?

We went to the open day presentation a few years ago. It sounded more like a combined honours course than Natural Sciences at Cambridge.

My DD is in her final year of Nat sci integrated masters at Durham and we really rate it. It allows a huge amount of flexibility but more than that caters to the changing interests of a young scientist. When DD applied in 6th form she thought she'd want to do some chemistry modules but when it came up choosing them decided on physics and maths. As she's progressed her degree has changed from Nat Sci to joint maths and physics and now due to her module choice back to Nat Sci. A friend of hers is doing computer science and biology. The module combinations are so flexible and varied.
