School based Salaried PGCE

I have a really wonderful former colleague in her 20s who would love to do a salaried PGCE but at the moment she lives onsite at work.
She says she can't apply unless she has her own address.
She has a masters and has been working with children for four years.
Is it true that she needs a 'permanent' address to apply?
Thanks

That seems unlikely to me. We’ve had trainee teachers through various routes over the years. Most lived at home with parents. Why would her address be an issue? - unless for some reason it would affect a DBS application

I can't see why this would be an issue- unless the address technically isn't a permanent one?

She'd need to do a DBS check- is there an issue with her putting down where she is currently living?

Should she legally have another address?

Im not sure, I'll ask her. I think she's been told it. She has accomodation on-site at work so maybe that is a factor. But I'm getting hold of local SCITT contacts for her so she can be certain.

DH did his PGCE when living in school accommodation.

Thanks, that's useful to hear.
