Campus universities

I know most universities have a campus of sorts but DD is looking for a traditional campus university - where all the teaching, 1st year accommodation and sport are in one place. So, by this criterion, Leicester and Leeds for example are not campus, whereas Nottingham is.

Traditional campus universities that occur to me: Nottingham, Birmingham, Exeter, Warwick, Essex, York. Do you know of any others please?

I was going to say Warwick but you have already covered it. My DD1 went there and loved it. She's still in contact with many of the friends she made there and they all graduated 6 years ago now.

Manchester is, right? 🤔
UCL is a campus university masquerading as not a campus university. EVERYTHING is there and it’s such a fun university! My
son’s in his second year there.

Exeter University at Falmouth is a campus uni. Certain Exeter students study there (Law is there, for example).

YourEyesCanBeSoCruel · 15/03/2023 18:19

Lancaster is a campus university with colleges, first year accommodation and sports.

Fedupofdiets · 15/03/2023 18:19

DD is at Bath - lovely campus on the edge of the City.

Ah! You’re right. It’s not. I visited there with DS a few years ago (bit of a blur) and I had it in my head that it was a campus uni.

boys3 · 15/03/2023 18:21

Loughborough

burnoutbabe · 15/03/2023 18:23

Queen Mary -east London is a campus uni (though maybe not for medics)

nicknamehelp · 15/03/2023 18:25

Lincoln is best of both worlds as teaching and accommodation all together and in city centre so close to everything (including train station). And they guarantee all 1st years accommodation and even 2/3rd years often stay in uni or close by private halls as there's so much accommodation.
UEA Norwich a campus

MyGrandmaLizzie · 15/03/2023 18:27

UEA in Norwich

RedHelenB · 15/03/2023 18:30

Candleabra · 15/03/2023 18:15

Liverpool

That's not a campus uni.

dazzlingdeborahrose · 15/03/2023 18:35

Newcastle. It's city centre with almost all its accommodation next to the campus

PinaColadaBaby · 15/03/2023 18:36

SinisterKnitter · 15/03/2023 18:16

But some of those unis aren’t really campus Uni of the type that I am referring to are they. Liverpool? Leeds?
