Altering a Uni interview

My DD was offered an interview which she initially accepted but she then emailed back to ask for it to be pushed back due to them sending her work yesterday giving her 24hours notice, to complete it by for today . It clashed with an external 4 hour A Level Criminology exam she had today so feel she made the right decision.
The interview is tomorrow morning and she is stressing because she thinks they will strike her off the list and they haven’t acknowledged her email.

I would telephone them. Most universities would understand this given the exam situation but they are really busy due to it being peak interview season.

Writing as a former admissions tutor I also think your DD’s request was reasonable. There could be many reasons she did not receive a quick reply to her email and I agree with @Phos that a phone call is best.
