Does university challenge retain relevance in 2022 or is this something of the 60s.
It's nice to know graduates have a wide range of general knowledge but didn't we already know this?

Do universities enter as a PR exercise and does it work? For the average TV viewer is this still a draw or are its days over?

The questions are, to some extent, based on what the students are studying. Imperial: lots of science an arts team won’t get right! The key is to know your subject and have good general knowledge as well. Music, literature, film, geography, etc. Also the contestants have to be quick.

We usually compete along with them. It’s a bit of fun. However we cannot get the specific questions on some of subjects they are studying. Just beyond us! If you listen to what the students say they are studying then check the questions, and see the knowing glances, you will see how the quiz is constructed. People like Gail Trimble are amazing!
