Accommodation woes

Anyone still on waiting list for accommodations? My DC is still waiting and has been recommended to go down the private route but we are unsure about this as the cost is far higher. Not sure what to do

Have you looked at the Facebook group WIWIKAU (What I Wish I Knew About University) ?

Lots of questions like this on there....also some people trying to offload rooms they are no longer going to use.

Plus they have groups for each University (over on the website).

We are in the same boat, wondering whether to defer. The cost of private halls is prohibitive, we missed boat on anything remotely affordable and DC really wants to be in halls (which I totally get) rather than in someone's spare room, house share with people she's never met. Student halls where DC doesn't have to worry about bills etc also seems a good halfway house from living at home. It's so difficult!
