My son is not really wanting to talk much about university yet (year 12) so we’re doing a bit of quiet background fact finding. Then hopefully visit some open days. He’s doing Maths, Business and Theatre Studies. Not really sure on predictions but we think ABB or ABC is possible (B/C in TS) To be honest he could pull off AAB but he’s quite lazy.

He likes the idea of a city. Any recommendations? I’m thinking Liverpool, Sheffield, Newcastle. Maybe Lancaster. Also Strathclyde/Sussex are BBB and Sussex has a foundation course. I think Manchester,Leeds are AAA. Anywhere else I’ve missed? He would probably prefer somewhere sunny but you can’t have everything!

It’s hard to work out exactly the area of business he’s interested in. So I think something broad and flexible. But happy to be told otherwise!

Birmingham, Nott Trent (good sandwich year options), Loughborough.

Also following as DS is wanting to do Business.

He is doing Politics A level, Business and Media as Diplomas.
At this stage he thinks he is likely to come away with "B,D,M which I think will discount a
lot of decent universities?
