In person open days

Anyone else frustrated by the lack of in-person open days? DC has mainly applied to Scottish unis, none of whom seem to be offering these yet - no indication that they will be happening.

I just feel that to make a proper informed choice actually visiting uni departments would make a huge difference.

Anyone work for a university with inside info on whether in person open days are likely this year?

All our open days are in-person, but we're not in Scotland.

At least you know they're not happening at the ones you're looking at.

Some are having "in person" open days, but when you get there, there's virtually nothing happening other than student led tours of campus, so you can have a walk around, but the buildings themselves are shut, and the only stands with booklets etc are in the open air, again staffed by students. No subject talks in lecture theatres and no tours of the labs etc.

We are doing all of these things at our open days. I guess there must still be some variation among institutions.
