Funding for masters aged 60

My work pattern is about to change and it is possible I’ll have time/head space to do a masters. I turn 60 this month. As far as I understand it I can apply for course that starts in April. Not many do! There is one that is feasible and starts in April but not quite what I want.
Once I had secured masters for funding could I change course my in September?

If you’re looking at the govt masters loans you need to be under 60 on the first day of the course.

Oh no. I misread it, don’t think I’m master’s material!!

I’m sure you are. It’s shit they have the age limit.

Dunno if I'd start a masters degree that wasn't really quite what I wanted. Are there any other courses that grab you? Does it have to be a masters?

they have an age limit for funding - but you can just pay and do one - i am doing that as seems daft to borrow £11k and pay back at 6% or so interest when i have money in savings.
