Burseries

Hi all

I'm currently at home, jobless, looking after 2 toddlers. I don't want to go back to my original job as the hours are too long and I was thinking of restudying to become a counsellor.

My time and funds are limited as I'm a single mum. Can anyone advise if they know how to go about finding burseries for single mums. And if anyone has done the same thing how long did it take to study and has it been worth it? Thank you.

Have a look through the threads on the Mature Study and Retraining board:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mature_students

You should find some pointers there as quite a few posters are retraining as counsellors.

What finance is available will depend on the course you’d like to do. Do you have any ideas?
