A level results lower than expected

Dd has been offered a place through clearing at Lancaster to study English.

She didn't do as well as expected at A level and got an A, B, C.

If you have a degree do employers look at A level results? Will these results hinder her employment opportunities?

Some graduate schemes have A Level requirements as well as degree requirements but in general it shouldn’t be an issue.

My DD was disappointed with one of her school results in 2020 (her school never predicted more than the Christmas mock). She felt she would have done better although she was probably more annoyed that people who went to her old school who failed the mocks got the same grade. She took the subject again at uni as and did really well so anyone looking at her highest maths qualification will see a high 2:1 in first year uni rather than a B at AH. However not sure if she would have bothered if her degree subject wasn't so competitive and the subject relevant for her degree. If your DD is worried she could do the same if she has options for outside subjects
