Natural Sciences, Durham

DC is interested in studying a combo of maths, statistics and economics and it looks like the Natural Sciences route at Durham could offer this mix. Does anyone have any experience of the course and similar subject combinations?

Similar subject combination: MORSE at Warwick

Also offered at Southampton. Birmingham offers BSc Mathematical Economics and Statistics.

Thanks, yes, we're aware that combination of subjects is available elsewhere, and some of those are in DC's list. Durham is of interest because it is very good for his particular sport. He was planning to apply for maths & stats, but then we noticed that the Natural Sciences route may be an option. It would potentially enable him to substitute some of the maths modules with economics modules.

My DD is studying Natsci at Durham. It is a very flexible course. She thought she would do chemistry/physics and maths initially but when when she came to choose first year modules is was just physics and maths that interested her. One of her friends is doing computer science and biology on the natsci course.
What makes it such a good course is that the exit degree may not be what you had intended when you started ou., Currently my DD is heading for a joint honours maths and physics, so not Natsci at all, but it wouldn't surprise me if she ended up with a single honours physics

If anyone is taking the NSAA test for Natural Science this autumn their is a NSAA book 2021 edition which looks in fantastic condition available on Ebay for a bargain price.
