Hi @Yodare
The law faculty is on the University Park Campus so any of the student accommodations available on University park campus would be suitable. They are all catered on the campus but there is self catered accommodation just off the campus which I think is called broadgate.

Hi All,
My daughter will start VetMed in Notts sept 2021 and we are now looking at accommodation options. My question is whether SB campus is too quiet and isolated and if it is wiser to apply for accommodation in University Park or Jubilee Campus. We have never been to Nottingham so it is really difficult to decide what is best. All feedback very welcome

With experience from being at sb, I wouldn't apply for accom at alternative campus, will take ages on the uni buses and she won't get to mix with people from the campus. Nearly everyone who studies at the campus stays on campus so she would miss out socially I think. They also did meals in your first year which was good socially so she would miss out on that (don't know if they still offer that?)

I agree with this. Although SB is quieter in general she will miss out on a lot trying to commute from the city.

I don't know if it's the same as when I was there, but the majority of students live on campus in halls in their first year and move to student rentals off campus after that. It's a fantastic place and being able to walk to lectures and tutorials easily is great.

Would strongly advise against a Nottingham vet getting accommodation on the main campus. As previous poster says, it’s a long journey and although bus service has improved it’s not great. Whilst SB is rural they do a lot to ensure there’s plenty going on and students tend to head towards Loughborough for shopping, jobs etc. as it’s closer. Vet students used to have to take turns on a rota looking after the school animals (early mornings) so relying on uni bus might be a problem for that too.
