Sandwich placement

Hi,
I just wanted to know if sandwich placements are paid. I'm going into my second year are uni and the placement is between the second and third year apparently. Any help is appreciated thanks :)

My dd did a placement year (HR management) she was paid a salary...approximately £18k year in an IT training company in Leeds)
She had to arrange it all herself and had several interviews with various companies before securing the placement- it's a very competitive process and Uni did not help , other than suggest a few websites to look at
It was great experience and I'm sure it helped with her dissertation in final year and she graduated with a First....she has now also been able to secure a graduate job with a recruitment company

It’s worth engaging early with the uni careers / placements team.
Find out where pre ious placements have been. Get help with cv and LinkedIn profile.
Look out for employer events at uni.
