Anyone with DC waiting to hear back from LSE?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has DC who have heard anything from LSE (undergrad 2021)?

It says on the website that they aim to reply within 12 weeks of receiving the application, but this doesn’t seem to be the case this year? DS applied in late September.

I wonder if they’re waiting for the outcome of this GW consultation?

How could you check if these reps are even real?

@quest1on just had a glance at the LSE reps post today. Get the feeling it is an admin person reeling things off the website rather than an admissions tutor like that Peterhouse person on the Cambridge thread

Still waiting here too :-(

@chopc - yes, I also think it’s a random admin person and also not a particularly helpful one. If all you are going to say to every question is “we hope to make all offers by the end of March,” what’s the point of coming on at all? I’m quite tempted to sign on and ask that person what their actual role is (but I’d probably have to reveal my age)!

I can tell DS is anxious about LSE, so I can only imagine how it must be for Chinese applicants etc who just want to find out whether they are moving half way round the world come Sept!

The thing is, you don’t know whether to hope for an UCAS update or not at the moment. Is no news good news....”

Did someone on this thread or the other LSE thread say that offers tend to come out on Thursdays (or am I imagining that)?

Yes it was said that offers come out on Thursdays and rejections on Fridays but that was supposed to start around 5th Feb. And if TSR is to be believed rejections come out on other days as well . So none the wiser . I think no news is good news

chopc · 23/03/2021 19:49

If DC have not heard back from LSE now, is a rejection likely? They started giving offers out a couple of weeks ago

Tiredasf · 23/03/2021 20:57

@chopc no I don’t think so. My Dd received an email to say April 16th for offers. Some rejections have gone out but not many offers.

fiveoldteddies · 23/03/2021 21:02

I have been checking TSR as well....., and don't think either many offers/rejections have been sent out yet
