First year nursing placement

The NMC has reinstated emergency education guidelines today to allow final year students to Work In paid placements.

First year students are also being advised that can focus on theory and miss placements.

Any first years this has impacted? I'm a first year in Scotland

Plymouth here and placement going ahead. We start on Monday.

Nursing training is hard enough without this

Thats great...I guess its area dependent. Perhaps in places like London it's easier to miss the first year's with their notepads and gormless faces 😉!

On the first day of my first placement I followed my mentor into the toilets

On the first day of my first placement I followed my mentor into the toilets

this makes me feel better about the incoming anxiety of it!

I spoke to my placement today and felt anxious afterwards because the call was too short
