Useful Christmas gift ideas for dc going to Uni in 2021 ?

DD is rather caught up in interview prep/mocks revision etc and will probably only start thinking about Christmas when it's too late for me to get things bought/delivered so I thought I'd ask others what their dc found useful/needed when heading off to Uni. so I could at least surprise her with a few items on 25th Dec.

We have no idea yet whether she'll end up in catered or self-catering accommodation but fingers crossed she'll get a place to study medicine somewhere as a result of her interviews.

Loads of usb back up stuff, a terabyte storage thing
Good bedding once you know the bedside you can get the sheets later

Sliders (for wearing around the shared bathrooms and kitchens) - DS has requested these after one term in halls.

Or maybe an IKEA voucher for the traditional post-exam results trolley dash, so they can choose all this stuff themselves?

These are all useful things to give a student in September, but not really for a Christmas present 9 months before, I wou;dn't have thought.

Nice to have your own kettle in your room though. D1 wouldn't be allowed a toaster in her room, there's one in the kitchen. Not allowed plug in fairy lights, but battery ones are ok. She would be able to have a mini fridge, this is great to have in your room if it's allowed
