Student Finance delays?

Is anyone's DS/DD waiting for their student finance payment this term? DD hasn't got hers paid in yet, but says others have already. SF website and phone line crashed/busy. Thanks

Yes, submitted end of May.
Filled form in saying that he was abroad in Australia for 5 months on gap. The amount of evidence sent to prove that this was temporary is ridiculous. Still waiting for approval. Every time you speak to them told a different story. Ds has already started uni. Luckily he has some savings and we are paying his accommodation but it's a nightmare.

My DS was waiting for his turns out he was waiting for his uni to confirm with student finance that he had reenroled on the course, we had missed this on student finance site. Might be worth checking?

My DS was delayed it was down to the uni not registering him as starting the course. Get her to call the uni and ensure this has been done. Still took about five days to clear after it was sorted.

I'm still trying to sort my MA finance out. Can't get through to them on the phone and the website is no help. Uni have been really good though so that's good.

Yes, my dd changed uni and was given the wrong advice by Student Finance. She didn't find out till weeks later when they asked her to send in a hard copy of a form. She did that. They said that it didn't reach them. She sent it in again and only got confirmation yesterday that they have received it. She emailed her new uni at the beginning of September to explain.

@QuestionableMouse We had the same problem in getting through and have found that calling on the dot of 8 when they open, sometimes works. We have also had success through using Twitter.

Thanks. I'll try both of those tomorrow. Just getting frustrated with the process. I actually had a letter today asking me to resubmit my birth certificate and signed form, even though they had it weeks ago and sent it back. No idea how I'm going to get it signed because we're in local lockdown and I can't visit anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤔
