If you did a geography degree what did you do with it afterwards please?
Dd wants to do geography but doesn't want to do town planning or teaching but does want to use the geography in whatever job she ends up with but is concerned about how practical that will be.

DS is a geog graduate - did BA so mostly human geog and at a good RG Uni

Geography grads are sought after because of the skills learned during the course, check out employment stats for graduates, they are usually in the high 90 per cents

DS now pursuing a career in HR, his mates following a wide range of careers from digital marketing to teaching to supermarket management scheme

On the BA / BSc thing, IIRC most straight geog courses we looked at (RG) the common format was a mix of human/physical in the first year then a split in years 2 and 3. For those who know which way they want to go the first year can be a bit of a bore in that compulsory modules in the “other” branch have to be endured but once past that the students can specialise in the desired field.
