Dissertation

I've oddly woken in with anxiety through the roof about the result of my undergrad dissertation. We were told when we submitted that the dissertation doesn't have the 15 working day turnaround in grading like every other module. Sort of "expect it when you get it". To a degree (no pun intended) I understand they will take longer to grade than other assignments but a month after submission and I'm in a constant state of high anxiety. This morning, has for some reason been worse.

Obviously universities differ in this but does anyone have a rough idea of how long it takes. It's like waking up in exam results day - but every day and yet not even knowing if it IS today Grin

Email your tutor and ask.

I handed mine in on the 11th and I'm worrying about it too. I'm waiting for something like 6 assignments back too which is fun. (took an four modules this semester rather than three as the ones I wanted to do all ran in the second semester 😂😂🙄😂😂)

We have grade protection though so we can't score lower than the average of our first semester modules. Most unis seem to be doing the same so I'd check on that too.

We've only got a partial safeguard. Our worst 20 module grade will be dropped if it is lower than any in semester one. Most unis will drop both. My semester 1 average is 74 so only my very worst will be dropped.

I'm so tempted to mail and ask but at the same time I dont want to seem like I'm harassing. I'm really unsure why they can't give a release date. Working to deadline is part of life!

Good luck, I hope you do amazingly!

Email and ask. I doubt anyone would mind as long as it's a single email and not fifty of them 😂😂😂

It's so stressful, isn't it? I hate the not knowing! I think I'm okay but I don't think I'll relax until I get my certificate 😂😂

I hope you get the results you want. 😀

I mailed my supervisor who said the week between 8th and 15th June. Now I can stop having cardiac arrest when canvas pings GrinWink

That's not too long to wait either. Glad you got an answer 😀
