The Guardian seemed obsessed by Oxbridge and who gets in. If they followed it through to the next stage, surely it it better for industry/society/politics if we had future decision makers from a variety of universities. Look at what a mess politics got into with Cameron/Boris/Gove.

Yes. But all societies seem to have a hard time not creating a small, highly networked, self serving elite.
