How Useful Are Post Graduate Fairs

My daughter is planning on going to a post graduate fair in London in the next few weeks, she is planning on applying for a taught Masters and potentially a PhD after that. Any advice/experience on how to get the best out of an event like this? Thanks

Are her preferred universities going to the fair? Has she narrowed down her options? She could spend a lot of time looking at institutions that don’t offer what she wants.

She’s currently on her placement year and will be starting her final year in October. She knows the area she wants to do her Masters in and there will be institutions she is interested in attending. Just wondering how she gets the best out of the fair? I’ve never attended one and don’t know whether they are just general marketing events of whether they offer the opportunity to get a real insight into specific courses/ departments?
