Have some stupid questions is rather anonymously Hahah

My first module starts Feb end August. So would I start my second module September or February as its part time?

Got funding for first module approved by student finance - anyone ever had this withdrawn part way through asimpler

Its my second degree but my my other at 18 at Uni so it all seemed simpler.

Did you declare that you already had a degree?

SleepingStandingUp · 12/12/2017 15:45

You will start the next one in October. Most modules run Oct-June but a few level ones have two presentations-Oct and Feb.

Assume your doing a science then? Or disabled? If so don't worry finance won't be withdrawn!

SleepingStandingUp · 12/12/2017 16:34

Yeah combine STEM.

Starts Jan 2018 module 1 finishes August. Can't work out online if i start next module October then October every year or January every year. Sorry probably sounds stupid but it confuses me

I have done one: All my courses went from October to May. It sounds like your first module is just a short one?

SleepingStandingUp · 12/12/2017 16:58

No 8 months. Jan to Aug

Darn it!
I wrote a long post and my tablet crashed.
But basically I do remember some people finishing courses in August, but it was more usual to do September to May and have a summer break.
It will depend on the modules you want/need to study.

ThatWasNotLove · 12/12/2017 19:40

I think there are some Level 1 that run Feb to Aug but all Level 2 are oct to May. I think too that the ones that run from Feb also have a start in October. If you did feb to August then October to May it would speed up your first "year" (L1). If you've done a degree before this could be a great way to do it. It's better to take more time for the level 2 & 3 because both count towards your degree classification. L1 doesn't.

Some modules are Feb - Sept others are Oct - June

Have you looked on the degree page of the OU website at the various modules to see the dates?

SleepingStandingUp · 12/12/2017 19:46

Yeah o have seen the dates and I thought it was 1 module a year so was just wondering if I had to start them all Jab/Feb or like Thatwasnotlove said, try and speed up the first year and essentially do 18 months without a break. This seems the sensible answer providing theres no issue wit financing. It'll get me onto the Oct schedule which will help when looking at my next qualification after the degree
