Hello there! So I am currently going into my 3rd year studying medicine at Imperial, and I thought someone might find it useful if a real, current student was there to answer any questions (I know when I was in year 13 applying I would've loved having someone there to answer my questions).

Feel free to ask questions about; Imperial medicine, Imperial in general, London medicine, London university/life in general, my personal application experience, tips and tricks for applying to medicine or anything else!

Hi fruitshoot12, DC starts at Imperial this October, not medicine though - congratulations BTW.
Thank you for the offer to pass on any tips ect, really helpful!
Wonder if you could help with these - don't know where allocated accommodation is yet but intending to cycle from halls to campus (South Ken), any advice with regards to that?
How have you found uni life in London generally?
TIA

I'm not the op but I'm a recent (ish) imperial graduate. Unless they've changed it recently most of the halls are on campus. The rest are across Hyde park and would be fine to cycle.

As a student I found London abit pricey but it's not too bad, everyone manages it. Depending on the course the first couple of months can be abit of a shock.

There are halls in Acton & Park Royal now too.

Thanks for replies! DC hasn't put Acton as one of the 5 choices as was hoping to be a bit closer- but appreciate choices are no guarantees and may well be allocated there.
Also good to hear that although going to be a pit pricier, it's manageable, thanks again.
