Hi there!
Desperately need some advice!- I'm thinking to study at university of South Wales as they have a postgraduate course I'm really passionate about studying.. it's a part time 3 year course/ 1 day a week at uni ..
Does anyone out there do the commute from London to south Wales? Does this work/ is it doable??

Hi Cutlery88.

You need to bear in mind whether you need to be around for additional study sessions, workshops, group work or similar. This you can find out easily enough from the course tutors. Also see if you can be put in touch with current part-timers to gauge their own experience. How will you manage access to course materials? is there an accessible intranet you can gain access to from home (do you have decent broadband with plenty of download capacity?). I really wouldn't be shy about asking the course leaders their own views on this.

n.b. I assume you're not worried about the physical commute as much as managing the course from afar. Otherwise, ignore the above!

Thank you for your advice , actually I am more concerned about the physical aspect of travelling the distance and finances involved ..

How are you planning to commute? Train or Coach or drive?
If driving I would do a trial run.
It will add up though. Only you can judge if it's worth it.
