Where can I find a list of which courses/universities were in clearing 2014?

I've got them all going back as far as 2009 - pm me with the course code and the institution/s you are interested in and I'll have a look

Unfortunately they don't actually exist online for copyright reasons, but if you go to your local library and ask for a copy of the Telegraph from results day last year, it will all be listed in there (or you could just ask eatyourveg)

However, a word of caution - what happens in one year in Clearing is not a reliable indicator at to what will happen in this year's Clearing. There have been massive differences over the last few years (the differences between 2010-2012 being particularly stark) and so you should use the data you receive with caution.

I've got mine because I have kept the newspapers from results day for the last few years - there are trends so it is fairly easy to say that if cake baking at beachside university has come up every year in the last 4 or 5 years, unless the course is cut, its pretty sure to make an appearance in the tables again. On the other hand 2011 was very thin on the ground all round but 2013 threw up some surprising gems.

You can always check now to see if a course is already full by checking if it is open for ucas extra. If there are still places by the time extra closes, (no idea when that is) it could be an indicator that the course is likely to appear in clearing or that the admissions tutors may look more favourably on applicants who fall narrowly short of their offer to fill the spaces.

Just to build on what eatyourveg says - Extra lists are rarely up to date or accurate. UCAS relies on unis taking courses that are full out of Extra, and this is rarely a priority for admissions staff.

If you really want to know about a particular course, you will need to contact the uni directly.
