Single parent query on uni

Hi I wonder if anyone has any information that could help me .im a single parent with a daughter who is hoping to go to uni and I'm really worried that we won't be able to afford it .has anyone been in this position?

Hi Molly. There are certainly more funds available to access the less income you have. Whether they are enough to live on, I can't say. Take a look at the student finance website. You can put in income figured & it will calculate how much you should get in terms of loans & grants.
The crucial point is that they will only take into account your income, not the non-resident parent, even if he was a high earner.
Many universities also offer bursaries. How they are administered varies. You would need to check with individual unis
