My ds has applied to go to university this year.
He has had 4 offers but is still waiting for southampton to reply.
Has anyone else heard from them?
Maybe it depends on what course?

Universities have until 7th May to reply. Different unis and different courses take different amounts of time.

They may have a lot of candidates to sift through.

If he had been rejected, you would know about it - so this is a good sign.

Thank you that's very reassuring!

Yes, don't worry!

My sister is still waiting for 3. Her boyfriend, last year, didn't get his offers for Durham and St Andrews until March.

DS has an offer from Southampton but i think all departments are different.

My DS is still waiting for 4 out of 5 to offer/reject him. It could be a long couple of months.

If you DS has the offer(s) he really wants, he could chose to withdraw from Southampton, that would allow him to firm his first choice/insurance and get on with looking at accommodation, offer holders visits and so on.

If it's been ages then you could call and ask.

DD1 withdrew her application to Bristol as she already had offers from the Unis she wanted to firm and insure. They were taking months to reply.
