Hi, I've just been told that I am being made redundant. I would like to retrain and would like to do a course in social worker. Does anyone how I can do this?! I am clueless I live in Dartford area? Can I do open university? This will be a total career change so no experience!

Marking spot and watching with interest!

I'm not sure about OU sorry Nic - but I've applied for a place on an access course with a view to taking a degree course as a very mature student and re-training to become a social worker so am interested too! (Also no relevent work experience either - so really not much help am I?)

That's exactly what I'll be doing a mature students don't know where to start but need to do research as I'm on maternity leave and redundancy is looming!
