I think I have decided what I want to be when I grow up Smile However I am struggling with working out how and where to study etc.

English is my 2nd language and I am dyslexic so that does make further studying a struggle but I have done it once (I am a BFC with the NCT) so know I can do it again.

However does anyone know where to go to get the right information on what studies I need to do and where I can get it?

Hi, you need to do the degree, or else apply for care roles and do NVQs. Try the General Social Care Council web-site for details.

And don't forget that if you are Dyslexic (and have an Ed Psych report that confirms this) you can apply for Disabled Students Allowance to give you extra specialist support if you are studying for a Degree.

Info about this is on www.direct.gov.uk

I am a social worker and quite a few of my fellow students had dyslexia as to people who I work with now
