Other than Baby Bjorn one which looks pretty perfect but is hideously expensive, does anyone know of any? Thanks

Lol. I was just coming on the recommend the Baby Bjorn one. It is hideously and it is worth every single penny. Really it it.

Wish I'd bought it when DC1 was born not now for DC3 but old one has conked out. Might have to have #4 to amortize.
Is the BB one ok for newborns, lying flatish?

Yup, fine for newborns, not too much, not too long (all the usual caveats).

D0 get one, if you can at all, they are excellent. Mine has lasted through intensive use with 2 DC and is only now starting to show signs of wear. I haven't been careful with it at all.

They sell very well second hand, in fact, I bet you could get one from ebay...

the cheapy ones all dissemble to go flat

eg this or this

I much preferred them to the all-singing all-dancing vibrato musical ones, and so did both dd and ds

mot tried the bb one though

HarriedWithChildren · 06/04/2010 20:33

Thanks Mrs B, that's much more in my price range I must say but they have one like this at playgroup and it is far too upright for him. At 5 weeks, he slumps terribly. I'll try him in it after the hols to see if the extra weight he's put on reclines it to a more comfortable angle.

DtD, residual value seems great I see on Ebay. None to be had cheaper right now but will keep on looking. Thanks.

Wouldn't consider a vibrating/musical one. Have enough noise and movement around here already!

Kiddicare is, as usual, quite a bit cheaper than most places...

Thank you so much for looking at prices. Amazon's got it at £64.70 right now free P&P.
