High Chair Choice

I know this question has been asked a million times but nothing i have found seems to answer my question in full!

I am about to buy a high chair for DS but i am in a quandry as to what to get.

I was all set to buy the Tripp Trapp but the fact it doesn't come with a tray put me off as well as the price of the tray you can buy!

I then decided on the Svan high chair as it had a tray and could be used at the table (my 2 main criteria) but then i began to question whether i really wanted to spend that amount of money and whether it was worth it!

I would be really interested to hear what high chairs people have and how they rate them to help me decide. I would prefer a wooden one but i am happy for my eyes to be open to new ideas!

Thank you

Tis easy. Go to Ikea. Buy the Antilop with tray for the vast sum of 14 quid all in. Go mad and add the inflatable insert for another 3 maybe.

Then, once your child has outgrown it/doesn't need a tray anymore get a Tripp Trapp.

ikea antillop here too

I have trip traps for the older kids and they're fab but I wouldn't shell out any more ever again, antillop all the way here till she can go into DD1's trip trapp and DD1 can sit on a seat

As above, ikea antilop then tripp trapp later on

I bought the ridiculously huge Chicco Polly for DD which I've got rid of. She now has the Tripp Trapp and DS has the Ikea one. Ikea ones definately the one to go for (although will prob get another tripp trapp when he is a bit older).

i have had the 3 in 1 wooden chair since my ds was 6 mnths. he is 18mnths now so i have took tray off and let him just use table. it can then be turned into small table and chairs for him to draw at. i love this highchair and it only cost me £48 from argos

We just got Tripp Trapps and pushed them up to the table from day 1. Never felt the need for a tray TBH.

The one addictedtolatte describes sounds like the same as we had for ds1 and now use for ds2. It's great as its really versatile.

Thanks for the advice. What age have people used the Ikea Antilop til? Think we are going to go with that one.

Without the tray on, you can get a 2.5-3 year old in it
