Kinderkraft unimo 5-in-1 - am I being stupid!?

Hi all,

So this contraption is supposed to be a cot, rocker, bouncer, cradle, and seat, depending on what position you set it to etc. Now, I can get the cot/cradle (honestly, is there even a difference!?) And I can get it into a seat position, and I can turn it into a rocker...but no matter what I do, I cannot make it bounce. It looks exactly as the picture in the instructions say - it's definitely in the bouncer "position" and yet it DOES NOT BOUNCE.
Is it just me? Am I missing something really obvious!? Has anyone else had this problem?

Please send help, before I send it out of the window 😂🤦🏼‍♀️
