Best high chair is the ikea one !

We have the Baby Dan high chairs and they've been great. They're not quite as nice as the Tripp Trap ones, but for 1/3rd of the price I could overlook that! Ours are coming up to 3 years old (bought when my kids were 6m and 2.5y) and they're still going strong.

We had the Red Kite copy which was £25 at Asda. This was quite a few years ago but think they still do them when they have their baby events.

Everyone I know who got tripp trapps ended up with an Antilop instead. I appreciate the tripp trapp is designed to grow with the child but in reality most people don't keep them much past toddler hood.

Yes we have the Hauck one, was about £50 off amazon. Almost identical but age limit is slightly lower i think. Literally no one i know uses these types of chairs after about age 4 though so we're pretty happy with it!

Hauck Alpha+. But DC preferred "grown up" seats from around 18m even though they could barely see their food on the table.

It's solid enough for a grown up to sit on but like all high chairs put it on the side of the table you won't be walking past because the bottom of the legs stick out for stability and you will catch your toes on the many times causing much swearing...

We have two tripp trapps for our eldest two (they're still using them aged 6 and4) but this time bought a Safety 1st dupe called a Timba from Amazon. It's been excellent to be honest. It comes with straps and table included. I bought a cushion insert from a different website. I'm really pleased with it.

The IKEA one was fine but I wouldn't buy another one (had one for my middle child before giving in and buying a Tripp trapp when she was about 12 months)

I don't have children yet, but I have the Kinderkraft Enock Highchair bookmarked to look at later. I saw a Youtube video saying that it's important for children to have a footrest on the highchair - gave an analogy of sitting on a barstool with no footrest. I think there are some which can be added to the Ikea chair on Etsy though.

Baby Dan. Basically the same thing but loads cheaper. My 6 year old still fits in it

To me it's every bit as good as the Tripp Trapp (so far) and blows it out of the water on price.

Newborn though?

No, it doesn't have a newborn attachment. Sorry I didn't realise you wanted from newborn. My DD went into it at 5/6 months (with the cushion).

The Hauck Alpha has a newborn seat which you can remove and use as a bouncer. But why not just look on amazon or whatever to see what's out there

Another vote for the hauck i even sit on it!
It's super stable and i never catch my toes. My 4 and 2 yo use them but i know 8 year olds who still like theirs. You can get a baby attachment.
