19m and refusing high chair

Hello,

My LO is 19m and for the past week has refused to be put into the high chair. It's a 2 person job and then just results in a screaming match and then cried herself to sleep and didn't eat anything anyway!

She just wants to sit on a normal chair but can't see her food properly as she's too small.

Is there any kind of booster seat or what do people use between high chairs and normal seats.

Ideally I'd like her strapped in as once she has a few bites she's off to play and then comes back later for another few. It's exhausting!

Any advice much appreciated on what we can use or how to get her to sit in the high chair...?

You can get booster seats that fit onto ordinary chairs. I used them for both of mine from around 18 months

My ds was the same so we bought a booster seat. Ours was from Aldi. He loves it and can sit at the table properly now.

Amazing! Thanks so much. I removed the tray this evening and she sat in! Maybe she wants to use the table or she was so hungry tonight she forgot to protest! Thank you so much for your help xx

Ikea sell junior chairs that are ideal for this reason.
The toddler I look after has been refusing her high chair since a similar age and she's just figured out how to kneel on the chair so she can reach the table. She got pins and needles for the first time the other day though - poor thing didn't have a clue what was going on with her feet!!

Thanks so much for the link to the chair. This looks great. She's back in the high chair minus the tray but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.... I just need to work out how to secure the oil cloth as she loves pulling on it ensuring her food is all over the floor 😂

We have this for DS. It clips to the chair and you push it right up to the table. The tray is detachable.
