Tell me about swings and rockers

I have a 2 1/2 wk old and am thinking of getting a swing or a rocker that vibrates. I don't know where to start! Any advice or recommendations? He likes being held and rocked. Maybe something that has him more upright might be better for wind? Though he will settle (sometimes) in basket. I just thought putting him down in something that moved and held him fairly tightly might help him to self settle more in the day than the basket. He sleeps on me a lot! Am getting the hang of the kari me sling which he will tolerate but doesn't seem to like that much but thought another alternative might also help so I can go to loo once a day!!

I highly recommend the Fisher Price 3-in-1 swing rocker chair - there's tons second-hand on eBay. I'd caution against buying new in case he hates it!

I think it's personal taste - what one baby likes another doesn't. I'd head to Mothercare or another store and try your dc in it to see. You can always then buy second hand online. We've also found nearly new baby sales to be good for quality second hand equipment, clothes etc.
